SO HOW'D IT GO?
My husband made these subbing almond flour for the pecan meal but otherwise following instructions pretty closely. They're *excellent.* So quick and easy, we didn't expect them to be so good too.
I like to eat them less like a burger on bread and more like a hash brown with a little ketchup. But maybe I'm weird. We just made a few, like pancakes, and saved the rest of the mixture in the fridge, and then made more fresh ones the next day. Yes!
These were incredibly easy to make & very good! Even my son, the reluctant vegetarian, gave them the thumbs up. I may play around with the recipe next time, but it's a real winner, as is. I will be making these on a regular basis.
Many thanks.
Started the recipe not knowing I didnt have any tofu thawed...ugg. So instead I used Yves for the replacement. They had so much flavor and cooked up quite well.
I really love this recipe and it has become a regular in our house. I often sub the pecans for a blend of sunflower and pumpkin seeds or whatever nuts I have on hand. I have played around with it quite a bit to add more flavor. Adding more soy, some grated ginger and chilli powder works well, so does throwing in some lemon zest, lemon juice and a heap of parsley. It is great base recipe for adding other flavors to.
These are great and have become a staple in my house.
I made these pretty much to the recipe. The only differences I used real garlic and a tofu/tempah mix. They were perfect pattie texture and yummy too! I'll definately be making these again.
