Punk House Chili

What you need:

2 or 3 cans (15 oz) kidney beans
2 or 3 cans (15 oz) black beans
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
1 onion chopped
2 cups total of misc. vegetables
LOTS of spices.
1 box (10 oz) natures burger mix (I use Fantastic brand)

What you do:

Vegetables of your choice: corn, zucchini, squash, green beans, bell pepper, potatoes, frozen stir fry mix, whatever is in the fridge...basically anything but carrots.
Spices of your choice: Anything goes. I like curry cumin, coriander, chili powder, cayenne pepper, lemon pepper, dried red pepper, black pepper, garlic powder, basil, turmeric, cajun spice, etc (think spicy!).
Put beans (don't drain), tomatoes, onion, and other vegetables into a really big pot (REALLY big). Fill up one of the bean cans with water and add that much. Heat on medium low heat until its warm enough to not taste gross.
Add spices, howe'ver much you want of whatever you want, until it tastes right.
Then turn down to low and let it simmer until the vegetables are soft enough.
Dump the whole box of natures burger mix into the pot and stir. The chili will probably be a really gross color, but it tastes good.
Warning: Dont eat this if you plan on getting trashe'd later because it makes for some of the ugliest puke I have ever seen.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

Oh and I used soy chorizo instead of burger crumbles because thats what I had.  Also had no punk music to listen to while making this so watched The Simpsons instead  :P

SOOO GOOD!!  This is the first time I made chili myself and it was great!  I used frozen fajita veggie (peppers, onions, mushrooms) and I added minced garlic.  Also used creole seasoning, garlic powder and salt.  Not too spicy and really yummy with cornbread!

Lookin' good. I make a recipe similar to this often...goes great on garlic toast as a pimped out sloppy joe!

I will note however, (for anyone who doesn't know this tid-bit) that bean recipes of any kind are always less raunchy when the beans are drained AND rinsed. It's the liquid and the foam you'll see when you are rinsing the beans that make people gassy...just sayin. I mean, if you're gonna be wasted and potentially puking...you don't need the other end acting up as well! \m/

Let's make it the 3 D's...Discharge, Disfear and Dystopia

Oops, and I forgot, 1 tbsp of chili powder as well!

This is awesome! I was a little worried at first because the recipe isn't very specific on which spices to use. 1 tbsp cumin, 1 tbsp curry powder, 1 tsp cayenne powder = amazing. This is one of the heartiest vegetarian meals you can make!

I made this last week and it was great! It tasted even better the next day for lunch. I added more than 2 cups of veggies. Thanks for the recipe.
