Super Amazing Broccoli Salad

What you need: 

2 large broccoli crowns, cut into large bite sized pieces
1 cup vegan mayonnaise
1/4 cup red onion, chopped
1/4 cup raisins
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 cup vegan bacon bits

What you do: 

1. Mix all ingredients except bacon bits.
2. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight for the flavors to absorb.
3. Add the "bacon" bits when you serve the broccoli salad or they will be mushy.
This is awesome; it tastes just as good as the one they serve at soup plantation I swear.

I made this for Christmas and it was WONDERFUL!  Made a beautiful presentation and my meat eating family didn't even know the difference!  The store was out of sunflower seeds, so instead I added toasted pine nuts.  Thanks for the wonderful recipe!

my mom makes a similar recipe, but I think she adds either cashews or sunflower seeds...maybe both?  anyway, it's really really good!

Come to think of it, I do add sunflower seeds to this too... I would say about 1/4 cup would be perfect in this :)
