Peanut Butter Puff Bars

What you need:

4 cups puffed brown rice cereal
1 1/2 cups chunky peanut butter
1 cup brown rice syrup
1/2 cup sorghum (a syrup that is created from sorghum cane)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup vegan margarine

What you do:

Add all ingredients but the cereal to a medium sized pot and melt ingredients on a low setting. This will be thick, you can add more margarine (or canola oil) if the mixture is way too sticky. Then add the cereal slowly, mix it thoroughly to get all of the cereal stuck to the gooey peanut butter. Then transfer the mix to a pan or dish (about 12x9) and press into pan. These will not set up as hard as traditional rice crispy treats but they hold together pretty well and they're much healthier, the cereal is super lo-cal and there are no nasty marshmallows!
