Orange Glaze

What you need: 

1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon orange juice
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

What you do: 

Mix together powdered sugar, orange juice, and vanilla.
Voila! Delicious orange glaze for sweet breads or cookies.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

Your grandmother is a genius! O.O
It comes out more as a thick icing, the kind that you drizzle and let set/dry, than a fluffy cake icing, and I would not use it to make something shiny and glisteny, like a glazed Krisy Kreme donut. However, utterly fantastic to make designs with on top of cakes, or to run down the sides of bundt cakes.
This was simple, needed no cooking, and came out perfectly! It's so simple, in fact, that many variations I have made, specifically to this orange one have added a pinch of ginger. ^_^
