Justins French Toast

What you need:

bread (bread that's starting to get stale works best...)
1/2 cup soy milk
3 tablespoon flour
2 teaspoon sweetener
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup water

What you do:

Mix everything in a bowl making sure there's no lumps. Coat both sides of the vegan bread with the goo and slap it down on a griddle or frying pan that has melted margarine on it. Move the vegan bread around a bit so it doesn't stick. Grill both sides untill they get brown and toasty looking.. yum.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

Excellent recipe. I used vanilla sugar and about half a tablespoon of ground flax. Super-easy, and tasty!

This was really delicious!! I never liked regular french toast but I thougt this was awesome. I used cinnamon raison bread that has a good firm texture so it didn't get to soggy when I cooked it. This was really simple it only took around 5 mins. to make. Definitely reccomend this one!

A little bland but was pretty delicious.  Easy to make and didn't disintegrate the bread like other french toast recipes.

Excellent!  I hadn't had French Toast in years - probably because I'm not a fan of sweet stuff in the morning, but I made this around 10:30 on a Sunday, so it was more like brunch.  It tasted exactly like French Toast should taste!
I didn't have stale bread, so I just used our regular sandwich bread.  FYI - this batter makes exactly enough to coat 4 big pieces of bread.

I tried this again, with further tweaking. I used some vanilla, probably a tsp, and a little bit of nutmeg. Last time I used stale french bread, but this time I didn't have anything on hand so I just used regular whole wheat which was a little past it's prime. I liked the french bread better, but the overall flavor of this time was a definite improvement.

This was really good. I found that I had trouble getting it crispy with the original recipe, so I added some ener-g and it made it a lot better. Even my husband loved it, and he hates everything I make  ;)
