Wonderful Oatmeal Delight!
1 microwavable safe bowl
1/2 to 3/4 a cup of whole grain oatmeal
2 bananas or one banana and one apple
1 tablespoon of peanuts (If you like a nutty oatmeal!)
1 cup of soymilk or almond milk
1 cup of water
1 tablespoon of Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa Powder (Oh yes, we're having some chocolate goodness with our breakfast!)
A sprinkle of cinnamon
1 tablespoon of flaxseed
1 or 2 tablespoon(s) of sweetener (If desired. Honey, sugar, syrup, are good!)
1 tablespoon of peanut butter (I like my peanut butter runny so I add water to it in a small container)
~First add half or three fourths of oatmeal to a microwavable safe bowl
~Add a cup of water to the oatmeal and stir a bit so the oatmeal will not clump (No one likes that!)
~Set in the microwave and microwave for three minutes
~As oatmeal is cooking, slice up the two bananas or the banana and apple in a bowl
~Mix up the peanut butter with water to make it runny and gooey
~Pour your almond milk or soymilk in a container
~After the oatmeal is done, remove from microwave and let cool for a minute
~Next, add the tablespoon of flaxseed, cocoa powder, peanuts, cinnamon, and sweetener to oatmeal
~Then add desired amount of soymilk or almond milk to the oatmeal (Everyone likes the consistency of oatmeal differently. I like mine a little on the runny side, but not too runny!)
~Add some of your bananas or apples to the oatmeal
~Stir thoroughly to evenly distribute the contents so you get the full flavor wherever you spoon from
~Use leftover almond milk or soymilk for a cup of coffee
~Use leftover apples or bananas to dip in the yummy peanut butter or add the peanut butter to the oatmeal!
And that's it! Simple, filling, chocolatey, yummy, vegan, wonderful and good for your taste buds and self!
