Low Fat Black Bean Hummus

What you need:

1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup cilantro, roughly chopped
1 lemon, juiced
salt and pepper, to taste
dash Tabasco sauce
2 tablespoons cumin
1 tablespoon fresh parsely, roughly chopped

What you do:

1. Place all ingredients into a food processor.
2. Process until fairly smooth. It does not have to be completely smooth, but you want to eliminate large chunks of garlic.
This is excellent served on warm pita wedges. Please note, this can be very spicy, depending on the amount of Tabasco and garlic used.
Enjoy!

SO HOW'D IT GO?

Great flavor, easy to make and inexpensive too!  I added about 2 tablespoons of oil to make the consistency a little more smooth.  Overall very, VERY good!

The flavor of this recipe is great. I thought it was a little dry and had to add about a Tablespoon of olive oil and I used fresh basil instead of cilantro. It came out great and the kids loved it as much as the adults.
