The Italian "Meat" balls
What you need:
1 lb. vegan ground beef alternative
1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup grated vegan parmesan cheese
1 medium onion, chopped
garlic
salt
pepper
What you do:
Mix all ingredients together. Don't add all of the water at one time. Mixture should be moist but not so that the meatballs fall apart.
Shape meatballs to desired size and place on a broiler pan. Broil until outside is slightly brown on one side and then turn and broil the other side.
When finished, add to spaghetti sauce and simmer for about 20 minutes (more or less)
Let me know how this turns out! :)

SO HOW'D IT GO?
Good luck I hope they turn out better for you, regardless though your picture look VERY NUMMY.
oooh! good idea - now why didn't I think of that! ::)
Ok so I'll try that next and if that doesn't work then I'll do what I said in my last post!
Shelloid I typically spray my baking sheet and the meatballs when I make and then just bake them at 350-375 for about 10-15 minutes.
I made these last night having never had meatballs before (either meaty or veggie).
The taste was great and I loved it!
I made the meatballs and the shallow fried them on each side until they were nice and browned all over, but then when I let them bubble in my tomato sauce they started to fall apart - gutted!
However, rereading the recipe I see that the 'meatballs' should be be broiled (which I think is the same as grilling in the UK), maybe I'll try that next time - there will be a next time, they were yummy!
The other thing I noticed from the recipe was that there was no egg replacer - in all the meaty meatball recipes I've seen thee's been egg as a binder. So if the grilling doesn't work I guess I add some egg-replacer to see if that stops them falling apart.
All said, a tasty recipe that just needs some tweaking :)
