Healthy Breakfast Apple Crisp

What you need:

3 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1/4 cup rolled oats
1 tablespoon vegan sugar
1 teaspoon canola oil
2 teaspoons whole wheat flour
spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, etc), to taste
nuts or dried fruit, optional

What you do:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Place apples into a small baking dish.
2. Mix together the oats, sugar, oil, flour, spices, and nuts (if using). Sprinkle the flour mixture on top of the apples.
3. Bake until they are cooked (normally I cook them for about 40-50 minutes because I like it really well cooked!) Eat immediately or cook the crisp the night before.
I love this recipe!!! Whenever I wake up in morning I am always cold and this tastes so so so good, plus it is pretty good for you I think there is only like 427 calories in the whole dish!! Enjoy!!

SO HOW'D IT GO?

This looks good. Is this a good recipe to make the night before. Is it good leftover? I have a bunch of apples and need to bring breakfast to my brothers at nine in the morning. So I'm looking for a do ahead recipe.

MMM this is good. I doubled the topping because I think I used too big of a baking dish, but it turned out really yummy. Thanks!
