Hash Browns

What you need: 

1 or 2 potatoes
Oil
Salt

What you do: 

Grate potatoes and mix with salt to taste. Add oil to large skillet and fry till golden brown.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

It works a lot better if you squeeze out the grated raw potatoes in a few paper towels to get rid of the excess water. It makes them much crispier! I like mine with a ton of black pepper and some ketchup :} Yum!!

Simple yet sufficient, i added a tiny bit of chilli powder to mine just to add kick...very nice, perfect with veggie sausages (UK Linda McCartney style), Fried Mushrooms, Crumpets and a cuppa tea.....The Perfect Vegetarain Breakfast  ;D

This was soooo good! I just made it for the hash brown sandwich recipe here and it's excellent! ;D I will make this again!

This recipe is quite possibly the most UNcomplicated recipe on vegweb.
If making this for a large number of people, consider getting a food processor. Most food processors have a blade that shreds and it cuts the prep time down.

Actually I would advocate food processors for anyone that cooks, especially veggies. You will be surprised how much you use it!
