The Fall Salad

What you need: 

1/2 a small cabbage, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon salt, to taste
1 teaspoon sugar, tto taste
2 medium pears, sliced
1/2 pomegranate, seeded
1 handful cranberries
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
pepper, to taste
1 avocado, sliced

What you do: 

1. Mix cabbage with salt and sugar. Mix in pears, pomegranate and cranberries. Mix vinegar and oil.
2. Pour oil and vinegar dressing over. Mix well. Mix in pepper.
3. Put on a big plate and arrange avocado slices on top. Serve.

I used only what I had on hand, but this is nummy! I had trader joe's broccoli & carrot slaw, so used that instead of cabbage. I added purple cauliflower and used an apple instead of a pear. I did for some reason have a pomegranate..yum! I did not use an avocado either. But! The dressing is perfect. I didn't measure anything but eyeballed the ratios. Definitely refreshing :)
