Easy Strawberries for Summer

What you need:

1 pound fresh strawberries, thinly sliced
2-3 tablespoons good balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup almonds or walnuts
black pepper, to taste

What you do:

1. Drizzle balsamic over berries (good vinegar will be thick).
2. If your vinegar is not really thick, reduce 1/4 cup of it in a saucepan over medium heat until it becomes syrup-like, then drizzle the vinegar over the strawberries.
3. Garnish with nuts, and top with some pepper.
I know it sounds weird, but this is really a fantastic snack or dessert for summer!

Surprisingly delicious!  I started out conservatively with the pepper, and ended up grinding a lot more onto the strawberries. Very yummy combo! I think this will become a summer staple.

This sounds delicious. I LOVE basalmic vinegar, I dump it on everthing and sometimes just drink little bits of it straight. Mmmm......  :D

This was different and tasty.  I thought it tasted best after it had sat a while. Boohoo me, I was out of almonds or anything nutty so I just did without.  I also liked the pepper.  Didn't know if I would, but the flavors all blended together nicely.
