Crunchy Spiced Taro Cake

What you need:

olive oil, as needed
1 1/2 cups taro cake (found at Asian markets)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon red crushed pepper
1/2 teaspoon minced onion seasoning
1/8 teaspoon chili powder
dash cayenne
dash garlic powder
3/4 teaspoon lime juice

What you do:

1. Heat olive oil in a large pan. Keep it on low/medium heat (but closer to low). For a rice dish or sandwiches, cut the taro cake up into slices.
2. For tacos, cut taro in little pieces. Place the taro cake on the hot olive oil and immediately season them evenly with all of the seasonings.
3. Let them cook until the bottoms get light brown and crunchy. Flip and let other side cook.
Eat with rice and grilled onions or in sandwiches with guacamole, lettuce and tomatoes, or in tacos.
