I found that these waffles were pretty good.  I used the exact measurements called for and I also had to add more flour (whole wheat). 1/4c. plus 1 tbsp. The batter was almost like water otherwise. Not only are these healthy for you but they taste healthy too...so after i ate my first round i added a bit extra vanilla and sugar to the batter. :) I also found that they were a bit too soft (for my liking) on the inside, no matter how long i cooked them for. However, I will definitely add this recipe to my recipe box because they're good for ya, and super quick n' easy to make!

I wouldn't waste your time.  Once you get it to the consistency needed (which is not in accordance with  the recipe instructions), they don't even taste good  :(

The waffles came out crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside!! I used half soymilk and half water, an extra tablespoon of sugar, 4 tablespoons of ground flax, cinnamon, and 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour. I will definitely be making this for Sunday breakfast again for years to come!!

A good recipie but next time I should remember how to use my waffle iron! I messes up the first 2 waffles but it made six including these messed up ones. At first I used the 2 cups of water but then I added 1/2 cup more oats because I wasn't sure if it was the right consistiancey because I messed up. Then it was a bit thicker but oh well...verrrrrrrrrrry filling

my new favorite  :) I think I increased the oats to about 2 3/4 cups and it was just right. I make several batches at time and freeze them.  I did find that b/c we have a cheap waffle iron I can't adjust I leave them in a bit longer and they do get soggy sometimes - freezing them then popping them in the toaster crisps them up.  Great with natural peanut butter. Even my non-vegan husband likes them  ;D

I make this all the time but I add the banana to the mix, and it smells and tastes fabulous!

These are great! I actually made a double recipe and froze them for later use :) Also, my adjustments included using coconut milk instead of water (I would use soymilk, but I am in the caribbean and soymilk is hard to come by and quite expensive), adding the extra 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour, and adding a 1/2 teaspoon each of baking powder and baking soda.. they are soooo good with the coconut milk and bananas, and I make a syrup of guava jelly mixed with coconut milk and chopped fresh pineapple to make a super yummy tropical breakfast... Thanks for the awesome recipe!  :D

These are the best waffles I have ever eaten!!!  I also added flour and used applesauce instead of banana because I just don't like bananas.  This will become a staple breakfast in my house.  Thanks so much for the recipe!

well, they tasted good, but didn't turn out well for me-- but I think this was more my ineptness at making waffles rather than the recipe  :P
