Banana Date and Walnut Cake Loaf

What you need: 

5 ripe bananas
150g whole meal flour
75g oats
100g chopped dates
50g chopped walnuts
3 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon baking powder

What you do: 

Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
Mash the bananas and combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Grease a loaf tin and bake mixture in oven for between 45 minutes to 1 hour or until a skewer to the center comes out clean.
It’s as simple as that!
Great for breakfast, picnics and kids!

I'm considering making this, so I converted the ingredients (I haven't tried it yet).

Preheat oven to 400 F.

    5 ripe bananas
    1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
    3/4 cup + 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon (rounded 3/4 cup) quick rolled oats
    2/3 cup chopped dates
    1/3 cup + 1 1/2 tablespoons (rounded 1/3 cup) chopped walnuts
    3 tablespoons oil
    1 teaspoon baking powder

i made this cake while fasting, so i didnt actually try it myself but gave it to husband, neighbours, kindergarten - and they all loved it! i love that it has no sugar, and i used figs instead of nuts (because of the toddlers and allergies) and it came out very nicely in texture and appearance. thanx.
