Apple Toast for Breakfast

What you need:

1 apple thinly sliced (Granny Smith would be good, I used a yellow one)
dash of cinnamon
dash of allspice
brown sugar to taste (1 tablespoon or so)
1/4 cup water
2 slices of bread (I use wheat, raisin would be good too)
vegan buttery spread

What you do:

In a small frying pan, pour water, and add apples, spices and sugar on medium heat.
Toast bread, and spread with vegan buttery spread on 1 side of each.
When apples are tender, spoon them onto the toast.
Enjoy with hot tea. This sounds weird and all too simple, but it’s a great quick breakfast when you really want French toast or crepes or something, but are all too tired and lazy. It’s also a great way to use that apple that’s been sitting around getting wrinkly! Experiment with other fruits too.
This is my first recipe, sorry it’s nothing too fancy!

It's been a while since me and my son made this. It's about time we make it again considering we both love it! Great recipe when you need to use up the apples you picked at the apple orchard!

If you can use a little less water and get a thick apple mixture, it's also great inside two slices of bread and put in the toasted sandwich maker, apple toastie, yum!
