2 1/4 cups water
1/2 cup hominy grits
1/4 cup (maybe a bit less) nutritional yeast
1/4-1/2 teaspoon salt
1. Bring water to a boil. While water is coming to a boil, add grits, nutritional yeast and salt to a small bowl.
2. When water boils, add the grits mixture. Once the grits come back to a boil again, turn down to a low simmer. Covering will slow down the cooking process but keep the grits from splattering everywhere.
3. Cook until desired consistency. Anywhere from 3-5 minutes.
4. Serve hot. You may add a dollop of vegan butter and or some fake bacon bits.
