1 cup dry lentils
1/3 cup oil
2 vegan vegetable bullion cubes
1 onion, coarsely chopped
1 medium tomato, coarsely chopped
2 tablespoons curry powder
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon dried cilantro
1. Sort and rinse lentils. Place in enough water to cover them by 1" or so.
2. Add the other ingredients, except cilantro, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Add cilantro and simmer another 15 minutes.
Source of recipe: I used the basic ingredients from a standard recipe and added a combination and measure of spices that I came up with.
