2-3 cups raw vegetables (I like broccoli, kale, chard, carrots, and snow peas), chopped
2-3 tablespoons olive oil
12 ounces seitan
3-4 cloves garlic, diced
2-3 tablespoons ginger, grated
Bragg's liquid aminos (or low-sodium soy sauce), to taste
salt and pepper, to taste
1. Steam vegetables for about 10 minutes. Cut (or you can pull apart) your seitan into palm sized cutlets. Oil a medium-sized skillet with olive oil and let it heat a little.
2. Put the garlic and seitan cutlets simultaneously in the pan. Fry for about a minute on medium high heat before adding the ginger. Let it all cook, and flip occasionally, until the seitan looks browned on both sides, and the garlic is almost a golden color (should not take longer than about 5 minutes). Dont let the ginger get brown or stick to the bottom of the pan!
3. Finally, remove from heat, and drizzle a little bragg's over the entire concoction. Season, to taste. There should be enough seitan mixture to cover your steamed veggies, once they are done.
Serve the whole thing on 2 plates! voila! Delicious and nutritious.
