1 can black beans, well rinsed
1 can chopped spinach, also well rinsed
1 bag that 10 minute brown rice
1/3 cup finely chopped onion
about 1/4-1/2 of 1 jalapeño
course ground black pepper
garlic
paprika
Italian seasoning
parsley
basil
a pizza seasoning that has garlic, red pepper, onion and red bell pepper
chili powder
a few dashes of soy sauce
Pre-heat your oven to 325 F.
Okay. First cook your rice.
While it is cooking, drain your means and mash them up in a bowl, add onions, jalapeños, and spinach and mix up.
When the rice is done mix that in well too. now add your spices. we used a lot. prolly 2 tablespoons of the garlic, Italian seasoning, basil and parsley, and a bit less of everything else.
The chili powder and paprika are completely essential....the burgers have a nice spice/kick to them.
So now you have this well gloppy mess sitting a bowl :]
Spray some non cook spray on a cookie sheet and mold your mixture into burgers. We got 9...you could prolly roll them in cornmeal or flour or such if you were so inclined (we weren’t' :] )
We cooked the burgers for about an hour, flipping them once....but we wanted them more crispy. Sart checking around 45 minutes.
After they are cooked, place on bread and pile high with your fav. toppings :]
About 1/2 hour prep plus cooking I’d say.
