1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes, with liquid
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
2 regular or 1 large clove garlic, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons cilantro
2-3 pickled jalapenos, diced
1/4 cup red onion, diced
salt, to taste
Mix all ingredients together.
This is much better the second day once all the flavors have mingled. This will keep about 3-4 days before enzymes in the garlic affect the texture, canning prevents this and will allow you to keep it indefinitely.
