15.5 oz can of chickpeas
.5 cup tahini
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1/3 cup lemon juice
pinch red pepper flakes
3/4 teaspoon salt
freshly ground black pepper, to taste
splash of olive oil
5 cloves of garlic
enough water to create desired consistency
Throw all ingredients into food processor or blender (make sure to rinse chickpeas), and scrape down sides every so often to get the hummus evenly incorporated. Enjoy in sandwiches and with vegetables, or just with a spoon! ps-making your own hummus is more economical than buying it premade, plus its fresh!
