1 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
1/2 teaspoon salt
dash garlic powder
1 cup cold water
2 tablespoons melted vegan butter
1 egg substitute (I used Ener-G)
2 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced
salt, to taste, optional
1. Preheat the oven to 365 degrees F. Grease a cookie sheet. Combine the flour, nutritional yeast, salt, and garlic powder in a large bowl.
2. Stir in the water, melted butter, and egg substitute. Dip the mushrooms into the batter, then place prepared cookie sheet. Sprinkle them with salt, if desired.
3. Put the sheets in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, and check them to be sure they're done. When they are, pull the out, serve, and enjoy! I eat mine with a vegan ranch dressing, and I think they're excellent.
