7 oz almond paste (not butter)
2 tablespoons orange blossom water
25 dates, split but not cut in half, seeded
orange zest for garnish
Place the almond paste in a bowl and mix it with the orange blossom water. Make sure every thing is mixed well.
Prepare the dates so that they are split halfway so you can stuff them.
Place the almond paste mixture in a piping bag. Pipe each date full of almond paste so that they are nice and full. Have a little dab of paste showing on the outside for decoration.
Sprinkle the dates with a little orange zest to make them pretty!
*These dates are served in Morocco and traditionally the almond paste is dyed green because that is supposed to be Mohammed's favorite color (or something like that). You can dye your almond paste if you like, but I prefer not to. I think it looks a little weird. lol
