2 cups of cooked black beans
1 1/2 cups of water
1/2 a medium white onion
1-2 oz of Jack Daniels whiskey
1/2 cup of mesquite BBQ sauce
2 teaspoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
Finely chop the 1/2 onion. Bring all ingredients to a boil on medium-high heat stirring occasionally.
Take off heat and mash all ingredients together. Return to stove and simmer for 10-20 minutes making sure to stir often so it doesn't burn to the bottom of the pan.
Remove from heat when enough moisture has been absorbed or evaporated.
