1 cup 5-grain oats, or any kind of oats
1 ripe banana, sliced into pieces
1 apple, cut into tiny bits
1/2 cup soy milk
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 tablespoons wheat germ
cinnamon
Mix the oats and soymilk, and stir until oats have soaked much of the soymilk.
Add the bananas, and apples, and stir in the maple syrup. Add vanilla, wheat germ and sprinkle as much cinnamon as you'd like. Do this all in a big bowl, and mix it around.
Lightly spray-oil a cooking pan, and pre-heat the oven at 350-400 degrees. Spread mixture on pan, and put in the oven for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, the top of the mixture should still be soft, but drier.
Take out of the oven, and separate into pieces.
Place the pan back in the oven. The pan should now have little chunks of granola pieces, that are not yet hard. After another 20-30 minutes in the oven, at 400 degrees, the chunks of granola should be hard. You may have to further separate the pieces, after they have hardened.
