finely chopped garlic (I like lots)
finely chopped onion
finely chopped red or green pepper
1 - 796 ml (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
equal amount of veggie broth
spices - Italian style, oregano and basil
olive oil
This is the easiest sauce ever. I never measure ingredients when it comes to this recipe. Just go with what you like.
Heat olive oil & lightly saute the peppers, onions and garlic (careful not to burn the garlic).
Add the can of crushed tomatoes and an equal amount of veggie broth. Add the spices.
It will be very runny and look like soup rather than sauce, but turn the heat down low and let it simmer. It will thicken to a smooth sauce. I hope you enjoy!
