1 pack burger-style crumbles
1 can (15 oz or 425g) chili hot beans
1 can (14.5 oz or 411g) diced tomatoes
1 teaspoon Taco Bell TACO seasoning
2 tablespoons chunky garden salsa, heaping
Take all ingredients above and throw into a large saucepan. Heat to a boil. Done!
I know you'll be tempted to eat this right away, and although it is good…to make it GREAT- put chili in refrigerator until the next day. Then heat and serve. Letting it sit like this will make all the flavors really come together and soften up the tomatoes more.
You could also put in a nice whole grain spaghetti if you want to. Just boil the spaghetti by the directions on the box and toss it in. Very hearty indeed!
I've found this can be served alone as chili, or served OVER spaghetti, with spaghetti in it, or even as a thick chip dip. Fools all the meat eaters at work until they see that I can eat it too!!
Enjoy!!
