3 slices of bread (I use 12 grain)
1/2 avocado
3 tablespoons red onion
3 tablespoons refried beans
3 slices of dill pickle (pre-sliced)
Vegenaise
margarine (Fleishmanns - vegan)
mustard
2 veggie turkey slices (Yves)
lettuce
Please bare with me....this may sound disgusting, but it is AMAZING and will satisfy ANY sandwich craving.
Well worth the prep time!
-Toast all three slices of bread.
-While bread is toasting, chop up your onions, slice your avocado. Put aside the sliced pickle, veggie meat and lettuce.
-Warm up the refried beans in the microwave. (Approx. 20 seconds).
-Here is the procedure to putting the club sandwich together:
Slice 1: -Spread margarine-Spread Vegenaise-Add lettuce-Add veggie turkey slices
place Slice 2 on top: (It is optional to butter or spread Archived comment by: with additional Vegenaise)
slice 3:-Spread margarine-Spread Vegenaise-Add sliced pickles-Add refried beans-Press chopped onions into beans-Add avocado on top of beans
Now, the tricky part....Take slice 1 & 2 and flip it on top of slice three.
Push 4 toothpicks in each corner and cut into 4 pieces.
