Mom's Cucumber Salad

Ingredients: 

3 medium cucumbers, very thinly sliced
1/2 teaspoon salt
5 teaspoons sugar
5 teaspoons vinegar

Directions: 

1. Dressing: In a bowl, combine sugar and vinegar; whisk thoroughly.
2. Salad: Place cucumber slices in a glass bowl and sprinkle with salt; let sit for 10 minutes. Drain excess liquid from bowl.
3. Pour dressing over salad; toss to coat.
4. Chill before serving.
