Dough:
1 cup flour
3 tablespoons oil
salt, to taste Stuffing:
1/4 cup green peas
oil, as needed for frying
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 or 2 green chilies, chopped
1 teaspoon ginger paste
3 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 teaspoon dry mango powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
1. Mix the dough ingredients. Add very little water and make a hard dough. Keep it under a moist cloth for 30 minutes. Boil potatoes until tender, drain, and mash. Cook green peas in salted boiling water. Drain the water.
2. Heat little oil in pan and add cumin seeds. When they start to change color, add green chilies, ginger, potatoes and peas. Add salt, red chilli powder, mango powder and garam masala. Stir well.
3. Sprinkle in little water and cook for 1-2 minutes. Divide the dough into 8 portions and roll them into balls. Apply little flour and roll them out.
4. Cut balls in 1/2 and apply water on the edges of the diameter to shape it into cones. Stuff it with the potato stuffing. Seal the edges again using water as a glue. Deep fry on medium heat until crisp and golden brown.
Can be frozen before frying.
