1 cup uncooked white rice
3 tablespoons oil
1/4 to 1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 tomato, chopped
2 to 3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 cup water
2 cubes vegetable bullion
salt and pepper, to taste
1. Heat oil and add rice, stir and allow rice to brown. When slightly brown, add garlic, onion and tomato and allow to cook for a few minutes, stirring constantly.
2. Add water, bullion cubes, salt, pepper and tomato sauce, stir and allow to cook on low covered for 20 to 25 minutes.
3. Turn off heat and allow to sit covered for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
