3 cups water
8 ounces sesame spiral pasta (about 3-4 cups or so)
1 cup frozen (or fresh) green peas
1 cup frozen (or fresh) corn
3 tablespoons sesame seeds (try black sesame seeds for a color treat!)
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon granulated garlic
1 teaspoon dry basil
1 teaspoon dry oregano
1 teaspoon dry rosemary
black pepper and soy parmesan to taste
My husband quickly invented this recipe one evening with a few simple ingredients from our pantry and freezer. It tastes absolutely great and whips up in just a snap!
Bring water to a rolling boil. Add pasta, peas, and corn and boil until pasta is al dente and the vegetables are cooked. Drain mixture in a colander and put back in the pot. Mix the olive oil, garlic granules, and herbs together in a glass measuring cup, and coat pasta and vegetables with the oil mixture. Sprinkle the sesame seeds on top and toss until distributed throughout the dish. Serve hot with fresh ground pepper and soy parmesan on the side. Yum!
