2 (48 oz) cans of tomato juice
1 bulb of garlic, finely chopped
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon sage
2 small red peppers
1 teaspoon chopped red peppers or dry pepper flakes
2 bay leaves
1 box of chopped white mushrooms
1 pkg. of burger-style crumbles
1 small can of tomato paste
and other chopped vegetables you might like (carrots, celery...)
Cook de chopped garlic in a bit of olive oil. Then add the tomato juice, garlic, garlic salt, dry mustard, thyme, sage, red peppers and bay leaves. Cook for 2 hours, uncovered. Then add mushrooms, veggie burger (heated and crumbled prior), tomato paste and other chopped vegetables you might like. Cook for another 1 1/2 hours, uncovered, or until desired thickness. Remove bay leaves, and enjoy! My roommate freezes his spaghetti sauce in small plastic containers. It takes a while to make but its well worth it!
