2 tablespoons wheat germ or oats
1 tablespoon margarine
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 tablespoon fig preserves (other preserves would work, but fig is best)
1 tablespoon raw sugar
1 large apple, cored and sliced in 1/2
1/4 cup nondairy milk, optional
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In a bowl, combine the wheat germ (or oats), margarine, spices, preserves and sugar.
2. Fill the holes in each apple 1/2 with the mixture.
3. Wrap in aluminum foil and cook in oven for 25-30 minutes, until soft. Serve in a bowl, drizzled with the milk, if desired.
Yum! Great for a quick sweet fix.
