1 cup maple syrup
1/2 canola oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup carob or coca powder
2 cups whole wheat pastry or splet flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 chopped walnuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 350, lightly grease 2 cookies sheets.
Blend syrup, oil , vanilla, and carob powder until smooth.
Add rest of ingredients . DO NOT overmix. (by hand is best)
Drop dough 1 inch apart on cookies sheets.
Bake until cookies has a slightly browned cooked texture. 6-9 min. Dont overbake. Cool.
