1 cup boiling water
1 cup chopped dates
1/2 cup raisins
1/4 cup brown sugar (optional)
2 tablespoons vegan margarine
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups whole wheat flour
1. Except for flour, combine all ingredients in a bowl.
2. Mix in flour.
3. Bake in 350 degree F oven for 45 minutes.^
