1 banana
6 ice cubes
4-6 strawberries (blueberries can be used too)
200 mL (about 1 cup) of vanilla soy milk
50 mL (about 1/4 cup) of silken tofu
This is very high in calcium and high in fiber and vitamin c. The banana adds potassium and thickens the smoothie nicely without making it impossible to use a straw. This is a perfect after-exercise drink as it both refreshes and adds vital nutrients to your body! Okay, it tastes great as well and is lactose free (check the ingredients on the soy milk or tofu container first)
Add all the ingredients in a blender and whirl for about 2-5 minutes. Pour into serving glasses, add a straw (which should stand up on its own), sip and enjoy!!
