1/2 cup oatmeal (or 1 cup oat bran)
1/2 cup cornmeal
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon egg substitute
1 tablespoon Prune Puree (recipe follows)
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
2 cups liquid (water, juice, soy milk, etc.,)
Measure dry ingredients. Prepare egg substitute according to directions. Add water, then dry ingredients. Bake in hot waffle iron. Serve with maple syrup, fruit or fruit syrup, to taste.
