1/2 cup vegan cream cheese
1/2 cup vegan butter, softened (I use spreadable Earth Balance)
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla
Cream together cream cheese and butter.
Beat in powdered sugar. (1/4 cup at a time)
Add vanilla and beat until smooth.
If you're looking for a thick "cream cheese" frosting that's not super sweet, this is great. I like to make this before I start my cake so it can thicken up even more in the fridge. If you want it to be even less sweet, some of the powdered sugar can be omitted. (Maybe only use 1 cup of powdered sugar?)
