1 box elbow macaroni
1 jar of homemade tomato sauce (about 28 oz.)
1 15 oz. can cannelini beans
1/2 bulb of garlic (though I tend to go heavier on the garlic and use 1 bulb)
olive oil to coat the bottom of the pot for the beans and sauce
salt, pepper, red pepper flakes to taste
Cook pasta as per directions on the box. In another pot, heat the oilve oil and add the garlic. Toast the garlic until it's lightly browned, then add the tomato sauce and beans. Season to taste. Drain the pasta (Reserving some of the pasta water, to be added upon serving if desired.), and add to the tomato sauce and beans, cook for a few minutes and serve.
