Howdy all,
We're building a catalog of veggie/vegan-friendly spots for vegetarians and vegans around the world:
http://www.nextstop.com/challenge/Vu58Law3_4E/great-spots-for-vegetarians-vegans/
For each 5 places, nextstop donates $10 to Farm Sanctuary http://farmsanctuary.org/ . We're trying to build a giant catalog of fun places to go and things to do for everyone around the world. We would love your participation, and it's for a great cause!
Best,
Kevin
that's great - i always appreciate lists like this when im traveling.. i seriously head out with giant handwritten lists from things ive seen online. i'll definitely email some suggestions.
Fun! Here's my go:
Pagosa Springs, Colorado:
*Garbanzo Grill (all foods on menu can be made vegan, and all are vegetarian)
Durango:
*Himalayan Kitchen (Indian food, very vegetarian friendly, great staff)
*Turtle Lake Refuge (all raw and all vegan, but only open twice weekly for lunch)
*Cyprus Cafe (fairly vegan-friendly, organic and local produce)
Also, I cater in Pagosa Springs and only do vegan food, but I am guessing you just want restaurants for this.
Other favorite spots:
*McFosters Natural Kind (Omaha, Nebraska)--I always stop here when passing through. Very vegan friendly and very good!
*Watercourse (Denver, CO)--all foods on menu can be made vegan! I think the restaurant is 100% vegetarian too.
*Chicago Diner (Chicago, IL)--same deal as Watercourse. Very yummy!
Thanks for doing this...I will use your resource! ;)b
Oh, but we're building the resource ;) You should add those places to the page I linked above so that they're searchable by others. thx!
Oh, didn't quite get that. Sorry! I will go in within the next week when I have a few minutes and do that.
You rock! 8)
I posted 6 for Indy!
I built one including all of the places I have discovered in Europe and America so far. :)
You guys are so awesome!
We're making such great headway! Anyone have other ideas of how to get the word out? I'd love to see us hit the $500 goal for Farm Sanctuary.
I have bookmarked the page and will do this at the weekend
