Source of recipe: When I was a kid, the first place we stopped at the county fair was at the food stands. The air smelled of deep-fried everything from french fries and corn dog to turnovers and funnel cake. It was a smell of happiness and rainbows. Sadly, a hundred pounds later, I realized that salad would make me just as happy. Either way, every once in awhile all children and adults should be given the chance to eat a little deep-fried goodness on a stick.I combined two recipes on the internet to come up with this.
SO HOW'D IT GO?
You're welcome! I have a homemade hot dog recipe one here. Check them out!
We always cut them into smaller bits. They are just more fun and there is no need to stop by the local Chinese place.
Ok, my husband is officially in love with you!! He's been whining about wanting corn dogs for years....so when I found this recipe, I decided to give it a try. As much as I hate to fry things and really don't like vegan hot dogs, these were AMAZING!!! We cut them in half and did them on the stove (no deep fryer). They puffed up pretty big and the hot dogs actually tasted good inside, not weird and rubbery like they usually do.....so, thank you so very much for making my husband happy. I'm sure I'll be asked to make these on a regular basis.
These were AMAZING. We cut the "hot dogs" into thirds to make smaller mini corn dogs and we fried them in a regular frying pan with oil. Ate them with ketchup, mustard, and buffalo sauce. Delicious!
