Leftover Oatmeal Treat

What you need:

1 cup oats (whole oats, preferably)
About 1 1/2 cup water
Tiny pinch salt
1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon canola, coconut, or peanut oil (as needed, I use Hain's brand peanut oil)
Cane sugar/sucanat/agave nectar/maple syrup, to taste
Tiny pinch cinnamon, nutmeg or allspice, optional

What you do:

1. Boil the water in a small pot (I use stainless steel). Once boiling, add oats and let cook until they're the consistency you like.
2. In individual bowls, add oil, then add sugar to taste. I find that peanut or canola oil in particular give the oatmeal a wonderful rich, buttery flavor. Tastes great on the leftover, lukewarm oatmeal in the pot.
Source of recipe: It's not a complicated recipe, but hey, it tastes freaking good, so I thought I'd share it.
