has anyone else seen this? last episode, he was wearing a PETA shirt and eating meat at the table. interesting publicity if you ask me. anyone else have an opinion on this?
I don't watch T.V. but could you see the back of his shirt? There is a shirt out there that that says PETA on the front and People for Eating Tasty Animals on the back >:(
i've seen that shirt before and he is definitely sporting a true PETA shirt. he has several that he's been seen wearing on the show
Maybe he's not really eating meat? Meat substitutes, maybe?
it's definitely meat.
The name sounds familiar. Who is Ron Jeremy?
haha...Ron Jeremy is a porn star. He's famous for is insanely long...um...career length. right. ;)
he's an actor in ummmmm...errrrr let's say very fine films....secondbase...do have any titles or names?...i'm drawing a blank at the moment 8) ::)
yeah, he's famous for the large.... number of films he's done!
Here is an article explaining Ron Jeremy's involvement with PETA. Also gives more tongue-in-cheek descriptions of who he is ;)

That ad is hilairious! The handcuffs and stereotypical lettering are a nice touch. If some of us don't agree with peta's advertising methods, atleast we can agree they have a sense of humor!
Remember, unfortunately not everyone in PETA is a vegan / vegetarian. Martha Stewart, for example, is a PETA activist, but cooks meat on her show. It is a bit hypocritical, but I guess partial support is better than no support.
True; we have to remember that there are people out there who will support a cause with donations even if they don't necessarily espouse their ideas or put them into active practice. (Is "active practice" redundant?) Some do this because they admire whatever cause but don't want to get directly involved, others for the "feelgood factor." Of course the cause probably is always happy to get donations but it can lead to confusion for those sitting on the sidelines observing.
that (hiliarious) article explained everything. thank you for posting!
he was wearing a "Powered by TOFU" shirt as well.
and eating meat.
weird.
i almost thought of bumping this thread after seeing him in that 'powered by tofu' shirt
What does "bumping this thread" mean? Excuse my ignorance, over 40 here...
Over 60 here, but from what I gather it means making a quick comment to make the thread go back to the top of the posts so it doesn't get lost/forgotten/not commented on. Not sure that's a very understandable explanation. :P
