After watching her new Telephone music video from 515 minutes to 742 minutes, she seemed to kind of imply this...
I know Lady Gaga's actions/videos/outfits have meaning to them... For example: I know she doesn't wear fur after she commented on the reason behind why she wore the Kermit the Frog outfit...
Thant would be awesome if she was vegan/vegetarian! I tried google-ing this but didn't have much luck... Any knowledge on this would help thank you!
I for one dont think that it really matters if it is real or not, it is still glorifying the murder of animals.

Guh. I hope that crap was fake....honestly, from a public health/safety perspective, I don't think she'd have been allowed to wear actual raw meat around, but I guess stranger things have happened.
From a designer's perspective, I think the dress + accessories are really damn creative, and it actually looks pretty cool. And hell, I think it's right up PETA's alley, considering their creative print ad campaigns, so long as the stuff is actually fake.
I don't know about her "statement," however.
I think it's great that she's an outspoken advocate for the rights of gays and other oppressed folks, but of course I wonder how much of her costumery has anything to do with the statements she assigns to them, as opposed to her obvious thirst for attention.

She apparently told Ellen DeGeneres that the dress was made from real meat :o. Nothing she does surprises me but she has gone beyond vile this time. Dirty girl!

a) it's obviously a LOT of tortured flesh,
b) if it were fake, it's the kind of visual that Veg*ns and PETA-types should enjoy considering the nature of their print ad campaigns,
c) real raw & bloody flesh is a pretty nasty health and safety concern, and
d) I think the dress and accessories are really well made (from a design perspective), but it could just as easily been made of synthetic materials (like silicone, latex, etc.) to avoid a) and c).
dammit, Lady GaGa. :( why you gotta take a potential WIN and make it FAIL like that?

And even for an omni, it's gratuitous waste. I'm sure no one (even her) wants to eat something that's been wrapped around her body for however many hours. She wasn't standing around in an industrial fridge. Hey, maybe we should put her in one!

Well, she succeeded on some level. She got people talking about her. For some, this could subconsciously trigger a 'checking out of her songs/videos' which may lead to sales.
