If you had to choose a theme song that expressed your personality, what would it be?
Mine would be "Forever Autumn" by Justin Hayward (Moody Blues)
Well, this was exciting....
Right now it seems my song is - "Only" by Nine Inch Nails
Well hey! One response! Cool...I was beginning to think my thread was a hologramme...
It's a hard one, but I like the subject of this thread. I would have to think about it. :)
ETA : I just thought about it. I tried to find a song that most people would know, but the only song that really popped out of my mind is a french song by a canadian artist, Le Chant d'hélium by Marie-Jo Thério. It's about someone who just wants to travel because she cannot bear to be in one place for too long.
Info : The man who wrote the song is the singer's brother and also the owner of the first vegetarian restaurant in Moncton. :)

lol! I'm surprised more people haven't posted. I thought it was interesting to think about the concept of having a theme song. The first song that popped into my head was a song I listen to a million times...but it doesn't say anything about me. This was a good topic for the forum. Is is ok to have different songs for different moods? :hrmm:
It's a good topic for a thread. I just can't think of one.
Bill Conti - Gonna Fly Now (Rocky theme - I play it at the end of all of my workouts)
Trying hard now
it's so hard now
trying hard now
Getting strong now
won't be long now
getting strong now
Gonna fly now
flying high now
gonna fly, fly, fly...
Incidentally, here's the best Rocky quote:

Miranda Lambert - The House That Built Me
suits me so well right now.
My theme song would be "Imagine" ;)b
Even though I'm not a huge Shakira fan, it's "Gintana" which means Gypsy. It's about being restless and not staying in one place. Having lived in Europe off and on since I was an adult and permanently since 2002, we're contemplating a move back to the USA for my job and I just don't know if we'll be happy there...
hmmmmmmm so many to pick from, I often used to aspire to be the subject of the Grateful Dead's "Sugar Magnolia," "shes a summer love in the spring, fall and winter, she can make happy anyman alivvvvvvvvve" but I don't know if I would currently be so free spirited to be waiting backstage for a guy in a band....(kinda outgrown THAT after realizing the truth about musicians.) Still love that song though!

I suppose it depends where you go. I've lived here permanently since 1983, and the last time I was Stateside was 96...felt like a fish out of water. Guess this is home.
I'd have to say my theme song probably shifts based on the dynamics of my life at a given time, but right now the song that immediately comes to mind is Ingrid Michaelson's Everybody. It's been my anthem over the past several months. These lyrics especially:
Happy is the heart that still feels pain
Darkness drains and light will come again
Swing open your chest and let it in
Just let the love, love, love begin
Everybody, everybody wants to love
Everybody, everybody wants be to loved

when my friends hear Dancing Queen, they think of me, I adore that song! It makes me so happy. I also love Let it be, by The Beatles.
WHITNEY HOUSTON - COUNT ON ME
is not Hanashi's song. She bailed on the gift exchange...
