Hi Everybody!! :)
First of all: this is a great site and a super forum! ;)b
I"ve been a vegetarian for more than 10 years. I am trying to change to vegan.
I thought it was going pretty well, until I realized that i was losing weight: I weighed 54 kg (120 lb) three or 4weeks ago. Now I should be by 50 kg (110 lb).
I do eat a lot of fruits and veggies. I know it's not enough...
How much lentils or beans do you eat a day? Should I introduce them for every meal?
Thanx!!
Well you just let me know if you ever need anything. I'm here. I have mad postal skillz.

The amy's roasted veggie pizza???? I have been trying to replicate this frozen greatness for almost a year now. I LOVE this pizza!
Apparently, TJ's has one, the very same one, for way cheaper!

How hot in SA in July? I'm planning an eventual trip. I've been told it's better to be almost naked it's so hot.

In the 100's and every place is air conditioned so it's like a repeated slap in face whenever you go outside. I didn't go much besides the grocery store and the pool.
Humid or dry heat?
Humid or dry heat?
Mostly dry but when it rains it feels like 200% humidity.

We are speaking of this on another thread! How much do you pay for it?
Too much. I've gotten them on sale for like $6 before but lately they've been about $8 >:( Maybe the co-op I'm a member of has them cheaper. Have you tried to make your own version with any success???
Eat a bunch of Amy's and the weight loss problem may be remedied (to be on topic ::) - I'm not being too serious here.

did you hear, though, berry? TJ's sells one that is the EXACT SAME (check "open letters" thread- pics and all!) for $4-something!!! AND her burritos! Silly Amy! Joe does it cheaper!

I'm so down.

Im sorry! :-[

It's true. I found it at my TJ's. At first I thought it wasn't there, and I was gonna tell Trader Joe to go fuck himself, but there were two roasted veg pizzas at the bottom of a stack of cheesy spinach ones. Why they gotta hide em at the bottom?
Anyway, it's good. Never had Amy's, so I can't say if it's the exact same. It cost like $4.29.

Ooooh so I have to scavenge for these pizzas?! Good to know. I would have totes given up otherwise and said, in the eloquent words of KMK, "Go fuck yourself, Trader Joe". I shall be the judge, tomorrow, when and if I scavenge up a pizza, if it is in fact the same as the Amy's version. IMO. However, at that price, comparatively, if it tastes good, it's worth it.
Avocados are a staple in my diet. I eat three times a day when I am not training for cycling. However when I am training it is very tough to eat enough, I am burning mega calories, my metabolism peaks and I hate feeling full.
I try to eat four normal meals and cliff/odwalla bars immediately after exertion.
Oh WOW :) thanx for your answers!!

Sorry we got so off-topic... we seem to do that a lot :-\
I'm making my way through your answers...
Yes, beans and grains are REALLY missing in my diet for the moment! :-[ The beans in particular discouraged me: 2 hours to cook!!! :o But I read that if I let them in water over night, it reduces the cooking time...
During the first week, I only ate when I was hungry. I noticed it and forced myself to have more than two meals a day. Now, it's ok WHEN I am at home. The rest of the time, at work, it gets difficult: I'm a flight attendant and if some of you had a look at "flight meals", you probably know how it can be... Today I practically only ate fruits >:(
I am considering cooking at home and take the meals with me... Oh my goood!! I'll go crazy Or I'll change the job ???
I'll try to use the food pyramid. This should help me... Thank you!!!

Oh yes! ;)
But it's not a problem. I found it funny to read you guys... And to discover what candies and veg pizzas are sold in the U.S. :D
I live in Germany and couldn't find any of those things... Yet... ;)

Oh, yeah. You should definitely take meals and snacks! I mean, that sounds like a good idea, and I'm guessing it could work? Would you be able to take containers of meals with you? I don't really know how it works..
