Hi all!
I'm in the DC area (Reston, VA) and will be at a UU Coffee House tomorrow night, sampling out "Delectable Lowfat 'Egg Rolls'" from my book (Radiant Health, Inner Wealth) and also signing books.
This was lined up by my mum-in-law (kind of, my ex's mum), as she is big in the Unitarian Universalist "church." It should be fun and I would love to meet any vegwebbers who feel like venturing out! :)

Quintess - I think tonight's the night that there are vegan drinks at the Science Club in DC. Check out the events page. If I wasn't wired shut, I'd totally be there. Welcome to our 'neck of the woods'!!!

That is a great idea! I had thought of that but figured it was a crazy idea....noiw that you say it though, maybe it's more like crazy genius!! I guess great minds think alike!! :)
By the way, I was wondering if you saw a thread I tried to start several weeks ago for you...you should search baypuppy and see if you can find it, because I don't think you saw it. ;)b

We have a UU nearby in Portland too (Maine). Do it! I would happily be there. ;)b

I'm so bummed - I had to stay late at work and by the time I made it home it was too late to try and make it out there:( I do hope it went well! I'll now have to make sure to order it! I can't wait to hear how it went!!!
It was a great time! It was a coffee house-style setup where individuals would read poetry or perform musical selections. In addition to performances by a piano soloist and plenty of guitarists, we heard a piece on a dulcimer another on a mandolin. We even got to hear quintess play a song on guitar and sing, too! She was wonderful.
